Sarah Barron (Caller, Voice and Bodhran) Sarah is from Glasgow and is an experienced Scottish singer and dancer. She has performed Scottish dancing at international festivals and competitions and was dancing at ceilidhs before she could spell ‘ceilidh’! She sang on ‘Kings, Commoners and Cornkisters’, a recording of Scots songs and verses for The Saltire Society and recorded Scots songs for the Edinburgh Fringe play ‘The Maun’s a Balloon.’ Sarah is also a Scottish voiceover artist with Cut Glass Productions.
Julia Kiggell (Fiddle, Keyboards and Voice) Julia is an experienced musician, not only playing the fiddle but also piano, trombone and euphonium! She has played fiddle for Romano and his Gypsy Orchestra in Hyde Park and with the Porto Jazz Orchestra and has played violin for Northern Opera and with Salisbury Symphony Orchestra and Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. She has played in musical broadcasts on BBC TV and on BBC Radio Newcastle. Julia also teaches music at Sevenoaks School.
Stuart McLean (Guitar and Bass) Stuart studied music firstly in Edmonton, Canada and then took a music degree at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. He set up a jazz band called The McLean Hunter Trio, plays electric guitar in the band ‘String Theory’ and guitar and trumpet with the group ‘Benin City’ . He was Assistant Musical Director of the National Youth Rock Orchestra, which he conducted at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and he is the Educational and Technical Co-ordinator of the International Guitar Foundation.
